Unlock the Power of Film in the Classroom
Into Film+ is the UK’s first free* streaming platform dedicated to film and designed for all school settings, allowing educators to screen a wide range of classic and new-release films in classrooms and extra-curricular settings. Developed with and for schools, Into Film+ brings learning to life, providing curriculum-linked films and resources that support learning outcomes for pupils aged 5-19.
Support Learning Outcomes for Children and Young People with SEND
Into Film+ supports Into Film, a film education charity whose ultimate aim is to help teachers achieve a range of effective learning outcomes in their use of film. Chief among those beneficiaries are SEND educators.
The multi-sensory nature of film can be incredibly effective in levelling the playing field for SEND pupils who might struggle with the traditional curriculum, most significantly when studying a written text. Film reviewing and discussion with peers can provide a creative outlet and the chance to thrive in social situations.
Get Started
We recommend Home, A Monster Calls and The Polar Express films – available on Into Film+ for SEND pupils; animation is particularly effective as both a practical activity and for communicating new ideas to SEND learners of any age. We also house several relevant short films on Into Film+ that are between two and eight minutes, so are perfect for when there is not enough time to watch a full-length feature.
Stream films in extra-curricular settings
As well as being of huge benefit to learning in the classroom, Into Film+ can also be a fantastic tool for extra-curricular settings. Our Into Film Clubs are a great way of bringing young people together to enjoy film watching and reviewing, while film screenings are the ideal activity to complement any number of other extra-curricular activities or after-school clubs.

*Screenings of Filmbankmedia’s films for an entertainment or extra-curricular purpose require a Public Video Screening Licence (PVSL) from Filmbankmedia. State-funded schools in England are covered by the PVSL. Into Film+ was created in partnership with Filmbankmedia, who are our principal content, licensing and streaming technology provider.
