Understanding the sensory side of autism (evening event)

£5.80ACE-SEN Founder: Nicola Durrant founded ACE-SEN Consultancy in January 2020.
The ethos and passion behind ACE-SEN Consultancy was to provide a much needed service for schools and parents at an affordable price. Nicola Durrant is a dyslexia teacher and assessor, alongside having a Master’s Degree in Autism.
She worked for 13 years as a specialist advisory teacher for a local authority. She is a Mum to an Autistic daughter with a PDA profile.
The launch of online zoom training was established due to the lockdown in March 2020. Providing training for £5 meant that everyone could afford access to professionals who were also parents of SEN children.
HOSTS: Nicola Durrant and special guest Jenne Seibolt, Occupational Therapist
Jenne is an experienced Occupational Therapist with many years’ experience of working with autistic children.
He currently works at a special school 3 days per week and freelance 2 days per week.

Understanding the sensory side of autism is essential to understanding an autistic child’s needs. The sensory issues experienced by children are often overlooked and not supported effectively. Come along and learn more about effective strategies that can be used at home and school. Suitable for school staff and parents.
