Behavior Basics: Understanding & Intervening For Professionals
July 17, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 2:30 pm
$25Kristan Weisdack has spent the last 15 years working in the mental health field, specializing in autism and working with individuals aged newborn to adult.
Her undergraduate studies were focused in Human Development and Family Studies and her graduate work was focused in Applied Behavior Analysis.
She is currently a doctoral candidate at Baylor University in Learning and Organizational Change and will begin her studies in the fall of this year. She is passionate about helping children with special needs receive proper services so their potential can be maximized.
Date, time and format
She will be offering training on Friday July 17th from 10am-2.30pm EST (3pm-7.30pm in the UK) via Zoom. Please see the details below.
I can host up to 100 people for each session. This training will be focused on helping early intervention practitioners such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, behavior therapists and managerial staff.
I take participants through an overview of several, often-overlooked issues that can cause behavioral issues.
These issues can consist of eye-teaming issues, nutritional deficiencies, allergies and sensory processing issues.
Immense savings
I find that if proper referrals are made and the correct services can be implemented to begin with – by recognizing a global delay with a child rather than only noticing a speech delay – there can be immense savings and children improve faster.
I also discuss ways in which behavior can be supported in positive ways.
