Autism and play – strategies to support school-age children

The ethos and passion behind ACE-SEN Consultancy was to provide a much needed service for schools and parents at an affordable price.
Nicola Durrant is a dyslexia teacher and assessor, alongside having a Master’s Degree in Autism. She worked for 13 years as a specialist advisory teacher for a local authority. She is a Mum to an autistic daughter with a PDA profile.
The launch of online zoom training was established due to the lockdown in March 2020. Providing training for £5 meant that everyone could afford access to professionals who were also parents of SEN children.
HOST: Terrie Ludbrook is an independent early years consultant working within the ACE-SEN team.
Terrie has 14 years of working as a specialist advisory teacher for a local authority before joining ACE-SEN. She has a wealth of expertise alongside being a Mum to an autistic daughter.
Event
Play is a fundamental skill required for all children. Autistic children often play in different ways and it is important to recognise this difference and support them and teach them the necessary skills moving through the education system. Suitable for parents and school staff.
