Consensus is an award-winning independent provider of specialist residential, supported living and centred-based settings for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and additional complex needs.
With over 15 years’ industry experience and supporting over 650 adults and young people across England, Scotland and Wales, in the setting which best suits their needs, our business and reputation have continued to grow and we are proud to have achieved consistently high ratings from national regulators. Currently we have nine services which are rated Outstanding with CQC, four of which are from our 12 PWS services.
Safety and security
We pride ourselves on maintaining strong governance systems and processes, offering safety and security to all those we support. Our commitment to delivering the highest standards of support is nationally recognised and validated by the many awards we receive. What’s more, our colleagues are among the best and most dedicated in the sector: trusted by individuals, families, local authorities and commissioners alike to deliver the best in personalised support in bespoke settings.
We’re passionate about enabling the individuals we support to live a meaningful, fulfilling life and use person-centred planning to put them at the heart of everything we do. Individuals with autism have very specific needs and can experience a number of related conditions. That’s why Consensus has specific services to support people with autism, including those who have Asperger Syndrome. We are also unique in having an in-house Positive Behaviour Intervention Team, who provide support strategies to help individuals manage behaviours that may be deemed challenging.
We use research and best practice to inform the design of living environments to ensure sensory needs are met. Every aspect is carefully considered, from the location and design of the building, to the interior decoration and furnishings.

Opportunities, choice and success
We live by our values of supporting opportunity, choice and success for the people we support. In 2019 we held “Party in the Park”, which was in celebration of this – to give the people we support an opportunity to enjoy a break away by the sea, try new activities and new opportunities. For some this was the first time they had experienced going away on a holiday with their support team. The event also took the opportunity to recognise the great work our support teams do and recognise their achievements.
