ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) is widely recognized as an effective treatment for autism and related disorders.
We provide ABA programmes, including our Parent Training as ABA Therapist Module.
ABA programmes
We provide science-based, effective and affordable ABA therapy and education at home and/or in schools to teach academic, expressive and receptive language, self-help, social, communication, employment and life skills.
The teaching curriculum is entirely comprehensive, addressing deficits in all skill areas, including speech and language, communication, play and social skills, and self-help skills.
Teaching is conducted in a systematic manner, breaking down tasks into manageable components.
The intervention is structured so that positive, appropriate behaviours such as play, language and socialisation are maximised through prompting and positive reinforcement.
Excessive inappropriate behaviours are reduced through redirection, and alternative, more socially acceptable forms of behaviour are taught.
Teaching is conducted primarily in the child’s home, with gradual integration into mainstream school placements (depending on the child’s ability).
Parent Training as ABA Therapist Module
Parent training refers to involving caregivers and/or parents in their child’s ABA therapy.
Research has consistently shown that when parents are involved in the ABA therapy process, outcomes are more positive.
If the behaviours that the ABA therapist teaches to the child are not generalized, reinforced, and maintained by the family, then one of two things will happen: the child will lose the skill, or the child will only display the skill for the therapist.
The main benefits of our parent-training programme include “generalisation of the learnt skills”, consistency and the cost effectiveness of the programme.
It is also important when ABA therapists are not available to hire. In such case parents can step in and run therapy sessions.
Our programmes make a home-based ABA programme affordable!
Cost effective
- It is often difficult to afford an ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) programme.
- Roughly 80% of the costs of a home-based ABA programme go to ABA therapists.
- This is our unique, cost-effective service. For this option, parents would NOT pay for ABA therapists or would only pay for the additional therapist(s), if required.
Easy to follow
- In addition to their children’s ABA programme, parents are trained as ABA therapists so that they can implement one-to-one ABA therapy in their children’s programme. Parents are trained by a consultant step by step, with simple instructions at regular workshops as the ABA programme of their child moves on.
- Training can also be provided for carers or relatives, etc.
- This programme is ideal for parents who can spare time to devote to their children’s ABA programme to act as ABA therapists.
- Our ABA consultant will advise parents whether or not this programme suits their situation.
We are successfully running cases across the UK and abroad. Our clients include families, individuals, schools and local authorities.
