Sunfield is proud to offer a holistic curriculum based on the PSTE model, which connects children with nature and crafts to foster a deep sense of purpose and independence.
A shining example of this is our new School Bakery. Through our “Seed to Loaf” project, learners experience the full cycle of food production, from sowing wheat in the fields to baking bread in our bakery.
This hands-on experience offers not only sensory learning opportunities, but also instils resilience, responsibility, and creativity in our learners.
Therapeutic care tailored to every child
Our therapies, such as Rhythmical Massage, complement the educational experience by offering essential emotional and physical support.
Rhythmical Massage is designed to harmonise the body’s natural rhythms, reduce anxiety, and promote well-being.
Through this personalised care, learners find calmness, stability, and improved focus, enabling them to participate more fully in school activities.
Creating a home-like environment at Sunfield’s Cottages
For our residential children our cottages provide a true homely environment where children can feel safe, supported and at ease, and develop personal growth and independence.
Our work with the school ensures that the themes from the curriculum are embedded in daily life at the cottages.
This holistic approach supports emotional regulation, personal development, consistency and security.
