In keeping with the NHS long-term plan for supporting autistic people and the neurodiverse population, the team at Skylight Psychiatry are keen for neurodiverse people to join our newly founded focus groups so that we can gather your insights, thoughts and opinions.
Be paid to join a focus group
Skylight Psychiatry is searching for people with lived experience, either autistic people or a family member of an autistic person to help share insights, provide guidance and feedback, and support with the development of our services.
Our small focus groups are conducted remotely, run by a facilitator and with specific themes for each session.
These sessions will be offered ad hoc and remunerated for the one-hour focus group and an additional hour for preparation at £15 per hour.
We’re also looking for people to help with our education and training programmes
We are also looking for people with lived experience to support Skylight Hub, our education and training branch in creating bespoke training and, where interested, in delivering these sessions.
We are currently developing some exciting programmes. These include training for employers and senior management teams in supporting autistic people and making reasonable adjustments to find talented autistic people who may otherwise struggle with various aspects of the typical recruitment processes. We also want to improve retention of existing staff.
About Skylight Psychiatry
Skylight Psychiatry is a new, up-and-coming start-up service. We are CQC regulated and we deliver a range of clinical and mental health assessments, diagnostic autism and ADHD assessments, with treatment and training through our Skylight Hub for education and training.
We are a fast-growing service with a national reach and a growing reputation for providing person-centred care. The service offers predominantly remote assessments, with the option for face-to-face as a reasonable adjustment when remote is not possible.
We currently work with the NHS in delivering specialist assessments to ensure adults with neurodevelopmental disorders are receiving the right support and to provide a pathway towards discharge. In addition, we support self-funded clients and are an accredited healthcare provider with various medical insurance companies. We are on several NHS frameworks to offer autism and ADHD assessments.
More details about our service are available on www.skylightpsychiatry.co.uk.
