Edgwood School will open shortly
The school, which has been undergoing major building and renovation work, is due to open in a few months’ time.
The young people placed at Edgewood will have a range and complexity of needs including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, speech, language and communication difficulties and associated behaviours that challenge.
The school will have 26 places, 14 for day students and 12 for children needing residential placements. All classes will be small, with a high staff-to-pupil ratio, and the school will offer a broad curriculum designed to meet the very individual needs of each pupil and supported by a range of therapeutic programmes.
