This happy little toddler needs a ‘forever family’ – could you help us find one for him?
John enjoys exploring new things. He loves swimming, soft play and bashing his drum. He also likes playing with musical toys, his sand box and balls.
But his favourite toy of all is his new car. Watch out! He is driving himself around and around outside. Better keep out of his way!
John, who is two years old, is physically developing well but a recent medical showed his cognitive development had slowed down a little. This might be a sign of autism or it could be due to being moved from foster placement to foster placement.
He is now due to start a formal assessment for autism this month. There is no known autism in his birth family.
His foster carer says John is a sociable child. He has very good eye contact and knows how to communicate what he wants using body language or bringing his empty drinks bottle to his carer if he would like a drink.
Active family needed
Sadly, John’s birth parents were unable to keep him safe and care for him consistently. But despite his difficult start in life, John is a happy little boy. We are looking for an active family outside the Swindon area who are able to give John a stable, loving and nurturing home and are prepared to support his needs.
Whether you are an approved adopter or just considering adoption, if you think you could offer John a home, we would like to hear from you.
Please call 01865 897050 (option 3 for Oxford and Swindon) and ask for Katie Woollard or Hannah Ferry.
