Fairfield Farm College student Rebecca has been selected as one of the finalists for the Unique Art Awards 2022.
Nature theme
Rebecca entered her eye-catching piece of artwork into the 3D category. This year’s theme for the awards was nature, so she created a colourful bird using papier-mâché for the structure of the bird, and embellished it with coloured wool.
“We are immensely proud of Rebecca and her amazing work,” said Shelley Callomon, the Practical Skills & Enterprise tutor at Fairfield Farm College.
‘The colours are amazing’
The bright piece of work caught the eye of the judges at The Unique Art Awards, and has been shortlisted as a category finalist. The Unique Art Awards is an annual art competition for young people with learning difficulties between the ages of seven and 21.
Alongside the 3D art category, there are also 2D Art/Painter, Photographer, Digital Art and Performing Art categories.
The artist Rebecca said: “I love tropical birds, the colours are amazing.”
Rebecca and her family have been invited to the award presentation evening in London in September 2022.
