Go Beyond Holidays has added extra dates to its Norway Northern Lights adventure.
The holiday is now available from 12 to 19 November 2023, as well as the original dates of 3 to 10 November 2023.
What’s to get excited about!
Norway, part of Scandinavia, has attractive and dramatic scenery.
Balsfjord, 60km from Tromso, part of the northern coast of Norway, where we will be staying, has some of the most visually impressive coastlines in the world.
As Balsfjord is located in the Arctic Circle, we will have the opportunity to witness one of nature’s most beautiful wonders, the Northern Lights, or norðrljós, as the Vikings called them.
This holiday will enable us to experience this sublime part of Norway in different ways. We will visit the native Sami people, feed their reindeer and hear their old folk tales and songs, take a fjord cruise on a family boat, do a spot of fishing and look out for the fjord wildlife (white-tailed eagle, porpoise, sea otter and many sea birds. An island tour of Kvaloya, an island with picturesque fjords and spectacular views over the Arctic Sea. Take a cable car ride up Storsteinen Mountain for some breathtaking views over Tromso while enjoying a hot drink in the panoramic restaurant. Finally, take a pony ride on some Icelandic ponies with Bard and his team.

Where you’ll be staying…
This house is situated in Balsfjord, about 60 km far from Tromso.
It has four bedrooms, a cosy living room with a fireplace, a big fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. From the large balcony we can enjoy beautiful sunsets on the fjord and great Northern Lights.
There are beautiful mountains around the house and a sauna close to the water, where you can often see porpoises, seals, sea otters and white-tailed eagles.
There are also cats, hens, horses, a dog, and some Norwegian sheep around the grounds of the house, which is on the same grounds as some stables.
Food, glorious food!
We will be fully catered for by our very own Go Beyond Chef.
What you’ll experience…
We will meet at a London airport, and you will be supported on the flight to Oslo Airport, the capital of Norway, and then on a second internal flight to Tromso.
Our mini-buses will take you on the 50-minute drive to our accommodation in Balsfjord.
We will spend every day exploring different parts of the Tromso municipality and there will also be the chance to relax at the accommodation in the mornings and evenings, with games and engaging conversation.
We will enjoy tasty breakfasts, healthy picnics for lunch and hearty dinners in the evenings, with a balanced menu catering to your dietary requirements.
Your holiday will include the following:
- 7 nights, full-board accommodation.
- All entrance fees to all activities and sites with tour guides.
- Airport transfers and transport in and around Tromso.
- Return flights from London to Tromso, accompanied and supported by our Go Beyond team.
