Nutley Edge activity breaks give you or somebody you support the chance to get some country air, make friends, and try new activities. Our five-day breaks are themed, so you can choose a holiday that matches your interests. We offer breaks throughout the year, but spaces fill up fast, so enquire now to book your space or join our waiting list!
What are the themes?
Whether you like to cook up a storm, get creative, visit local animal sanctuaries, or have fun at an adventure park, we have something for everyone! Here are some examples of the breaks we offer:
- Food Lovers – Hone your baking skills, try out new recipes, and enjoy local restaurants.
- Arts & Crafts – Get creative with photography, art, woodcraft, tie-dye and more.
- East Sussex Sightseeing – Explore local castles, hop aboard a steam train, and discover the many myths and legends of East Sussex.
- Mad about Animals – Get closer to nature with visits to local farms and wildlife centres, or let nature come to you with a visit from the fantastic Sussex Falconry.
What is the accommodation like?
You will be staying in one of our beautiful cottages, all grouped around a central courtyard and 17th-century farmhouse. Guests will have their own bedroom and all cottages have a fully-equipped kitchen and open-plan lounge with a flat-screen TV. We have two wheelchair-accessible cottages with level access and adjustable beds. Visit the Nutley Edge website to take a look at our accommodation and grounds!
What is the itinerary like on an activity break?
Every break is different, but here is an example itinerary from one of our “Pampering” themed breaks:
Monday: Dive into your first activity of the holiday with an organic lunch at family-run Oast Farm. After lunch, unwind at one of our relaxation sessions.
Tuesday: Start your first full day off right with a massage from a local masseuse. You can choose from a head, neck, hand, or foot massage. In the afternoon, take part in our scented soap making workshop, followed by a music session in the evening.
Wednesday: Join us on a day trip to Brighton, where you can explore as you please. Perhaps you’d like to dine on fish and chips, ride the attractions on the pier, or search for a souvenir in The Lanes – the choice is yours!
Thursday: Take some time to unwind and stretch your body with an accessible yoga session in our luxury yurt. In the afternoon, top up with the vitamins and nutrients you need to feel good at our smoothie making session.
Friday: Before heading back home, enjoy one last outing to Royal Tunbridge Wells, a nearby spa town in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Stroll through the collonaded walkways of The Pantiles, as you indulge in some retail therapy.
What is included?
The all-inclusive price covers high-quality accommodation, transportation, meals, activities and staff support. Our breaks are suitable for adults with a learning disability and adults on the autism spectrum, and we provide an average of one member of staff to every four guests. However, for guests who require a higher level of support, we are happy to discuss individual needs.
What do guests think of the activity breaks?
