Anyone familiar with author and Creative Director of Play to Z, Sue Gascoyne’s speaking, training and award-winning resources will be aware of her fascination with the senses and how children use their hands to explore and learn.
With language processing and imagination affected by hand exploration and autistic children’s hand movements typically repetitive, Sue has enlisted MA student Katie Kumiscia to explore which resources best support the development of varied hand movements.
Over the next 9 weeks Katie hopes to involve professionals working with autistic children, so contact research@playtoz.co.uk if you’re interested in getting involved in this exciting research project.
