At Nice 2 Meet Ya, we help adults (18+) who have learning disabilities or neurodiverse conditions (such as Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Tourette’s syndrome, etc) to develop and maintain friendships and relationships and support our members to build meaningful connections with others.
Finding friendship and love isn’t easy. We’re here to help.
Adults who are neurodiverse or who have learning disabilities, often have little opportunity to make new friends, join appropriate social clubs in their local areas or find someone to love outside of their usual support services or routines.
At Nice 2 Meet Ya, we understand this better than most and believe that everyone has the right to explore relationships and build social circles and networks in a safe and supported way.
Who Are We and What Do We Do?
Nice 2 Meet Ya was founded by sisters, Helen and Lulu, because there were no services like this for Lulu to join.
Our group committee consists of parents/ carers, support workers and individuals who have personal and/ or professional experience supporting adults.
We understand our members and strongly believe that healthy relationships contribute to living a happy and fulfilled life.
Nice 2 Meet Ya is a constituted community support group based in Hertfordshire. We will transition into a charity this year.
We are the county’s first dedicated friendship and relationship-matching group for adults with a learning disability or a neurodiverse condition.
Our aim is to help alleviate the feelings of isolation and loneliness felt by many, and to provide a safe space to meet new people and make meaningful connections.
Our dedicated team are passionate about bringing people together and our mission is to help our members to enjoy richer and more fulfilling lives.
About our Memberships
Our memberships are flexible and can be easily upgraded/ downgraded.
We offer three different types of memberships (BLUE, YELLOW AND PINK) and Matching only and Workshops Only memberships because we know that just one would not be right for everyone.
Memberships include:
- At least four group social events each year in venues across Hertfordshire
- Opportunity to join a smaller sub-group who can meet up more often
- Access to online and face-to-face workshops covering a variety of topics including looking at the difference between a friendship and a relationship, recognising abuse and staying safe in a sexual relationship
- Access to our private members-only mobile app which includes forums, group chat, private chat and online quizzes
Our YELLOW and PINK and MATCHING ONLY membership packages include friendship and relationship matching. These are for people who prefer meeting with other people on a 1-1 basis and with support, rather than in a group setting.
Membership prices start from £100 per year and run on an annual basis. Memberships can be adapted and payment plans are available for those that would find it helpful. We will also consider discounts/free memberships for those who might struggle to afford the membership fee.

To get started, simply fill out the Application Form on our website and a member of our team will be in touch to discuss your application further.
- You must be over 18 years old. There is no upper age limit. (Members are matched with members who are about the same age).
- You must have a learning disability and/or a neurodiverse condition.
Meeting new people and maintaining healthy relationships can be difficult for those who have trouble communicating. We’re here to do everything possible to empower our members in a way which helps them not only to live more fulfilling lives, but also take a much more active role in how they choose to live and who they choose to form connections with.
