The Brick-by-Brick® programme represents the world’s leading evidence-based resource in LEGO® based therapy, created by a team of child development experts at Play Included in partnership with The LEGO Foundation.
The programme supports autistic and neurodivergent children with their social and emotional development and communication. With a strong focus on neurodiversity and learning through play, the Brick-by-Brick® programme focuses on building on a child’s strengths and supporting skill development in a playful and enjoyable way.
Brick Club
For children, the Brick-by-Brick® programme is known as ‘Brick Club’.
One of the best things about Brick Club is that children enjoy attending. It’s motivating and fun to build LEGO® models and freestyle creations as a team.
Being in a relaxed, accepting and low-anxiety space means it’s easier to play together with others: collaborating, sharing ideas, communicating and problem-solving. Everybody feels welcome in Brick Club.
Professional training
Brick Club sessions are delivered by health and education professionals who have received training in the Brick-by-Brick® programme methodology. Facilitators are skilled in spotting opportunities for playful learning and in guiding Brick Club members to be successful in working together to find solutions.
“Brick Club is an amazing programme that allows your child to develop skills in a small group and then take those skills with them into their everyday life” – Alison, parent

Evidence base
Research shows that children attending Brick Club for at least three months to a year may improve in their social skills, communication and emotional well-being. Children can start to make friends, play together with others and feel more confident. The Brick-by-Brick® programme is being researched all over the world so that we can learn more about creating the best outcomes for children.
