Founded in 2001, Autism Early Support are specialists in early intervention for young children with autism or communication difficulties.
We combine specialist education and therapies to ensure each child we support is equipped with the tools and confidence they need to communicate, explore, play and engage with the world around them. We also provide emotional support and practical training for parents and families, helping them to better understand and aid their child’s early development.
Online support groups and training workshops
In 2020, during the pandemic we were grateful to receive funding from the Paul Foundation, which enabled us to develop a series of online support groups and training workshops for parents and families of children with autism.
“During such a difficult time, it was critical for us to ensure we could connect with and provide support for families. We wanted to lessen their feelings of isolation and ease the pressures of home-schooling”. Laura Gomersall, Head of Children’s Services, AES.
Since then, due to their popularity and convenience, we have continued to develop our online services and both our family support groups and parent workshops have continued to grow.
Parent feedback is essential – can you spare 5 minutes?
It is critical to us as a service provider to ensure we are always closely meeting the needs of our beneficiaries. We want to deliver client-led services that we can truly evolve and grow with the changing needs of the families we are here to support. We always ask for feedback in the sessions we deliver and today we are extending this request to you.
If you are parent/relative/carer of a child with autism, can you share your insights about the kind of support, resources and training you would like access to or have accessed. Our short survey will take only 5 minutes. To access the survey please click the link below.
