Autism Union are proud to present the first ever virtual South Yorkshire Autism Fayre!

Sunday September 13^th to Wednesday 16^th September, plus an all-new, free-to-all Kids Fayre on Sunday 20^th September.

The South Yorkshire Autism Fayre has grown from strength to strength since its first event in 2015. Due to the current pandemic our usual event is unable to go ahead. Rather than postpone, the event has gone virtual! The need for the speakers, information and support is higher than ever! With a virtual event anyone from around the world can join any part of the event – whether it be one speaker or all four days!

Our speakers include professional, key figures in the autism world including Temple Grandin, Carrie Grant, Dr Mark Brown and Luke Beardon. In addition, we are also hosting other free speakers to ensure everyone can access talks and support on a wide range of topics! We have talks on everything from puberty, anxiety, siblings, real life experience and legal topics to education.

There will also be exhibitors showcasing their products with special free zoom sessions, videos in between our talks and links from our website. The zoom sessions include specialist charities such as the PDA Society, supporting families of those with the pathological demand avoidance profile of the autism spectrum, and specialist products such as sensory and communication tools. The aim of the event is to offer the closest experience to the real-life thing as can be done virtually.

The 2020 Fayre also has an exciting new addition! The South Yorkshire Autism Fayre 2020 KIDS! This is a free-to-access event with sessions including Lego, taekwondo, yoga and talks for children, including topics such as siblings and autism awareness, by children who live with autism.

Autism Union are keen to support families through the current pandemic and the virtual event has something for everyone. There are no barriers to this event: everyone is welcome.
