For over 30 years, Ruskin Mill Trust has developed environments in which children and young adults learn and develop holistically, generating a sense of their own identity in which we can truly feel successful.
At sites throughout England, Wales and now Scotland this bespoke, person-centred approach is the beating heart of our schools, colleges, Gateway to independence and Rise programmes, and is delivered through its own unique, research-led method of Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) on a day or residential basis.
Based at the Clow Beck Eco Centre near Darlington, Clervaux Trust (part of Ruskin Mill Trust) offers services for young people and adults with a broad range of specialist education and social care needs from the age of 10 upwards.
Clervaux Garden School – OPENING JANUARY 2020
Clervaux Garden School provides an opportunity for young people aged 10 – 19 years to learn and grow within a holistic educational framework, on either a day or residential basis. The curriculum offers a balance of academic, artistic and practical activities, which engage the head, hands and heart of our pupils.
Clervaux Rise
The Clervaux Rise (adult social care provision) offers day and residential packages for those with complex learning and mental health needs, and behavioural difficulties.
This provision is available to those who are not in education but are in need of support towards the development of independent living skills and those requiring long-term social care.
Clervaux Fold
The Fold is a dedicated family centre working with civilian and military families based at the nearby Catterick Garrison, offering a variety of craft workshops, social spaces, farm and gardens, to encourage a sense of wellbeing in the community.
